FUC Show
We have been so busy working on their opera Pangaea. We’re finally getting back to doing some Gemini Wolf shows including an upcoming performance at the First Unitarian Chapel in Philadelphia. This beautiful space has a nice warm natural reverb and quiet music sounds amazing in there. We’re excited to try something new for this show. The series is called still life and will also...

The Key Review
http://thekey.xpn.org/2011/08/philly-local-philes-gemini/ One of the most thought-provoking records to come out of Philadelphia’s electronic music scene in recent years, Gemini Wolf‘s Infinite Sand Dunes ponders a scorched-earth future through eerie sonic textures, urgent vocal elements and a wholly instrumental side B where all traces of humanity have vanished. It’s like the soundtrack to a vast...

OMG Vinyl
We got some love for Infinite Sand Dunes in the vinyl record blog, OMG Vinyl. Check it out and if you haven’t already, buy the record! We did a limited pressing and they’re going fast! the a-side is full of heavy percussion, synthesizers, and dark, sultry vocals, the b-side is mostly made up of cavernous drones, slowed-down beats, and passionate experimentalism. Rad stuff

Philly Rock Blog
“The two have been working together for years but have hit their stride with their second album Synchronized Eyes. The 10 track effort refuses to sit still as it bounces from afro-pop horns, grooving bass lines, painfully catchy vocal hooks, and layers upon layers of electronic blips and blaps. The end result is one of the best albums of 2009.” -Philly Rock Blog Read the full article...

“There are headphone albums and there are party records, and typically the two are mutually exclusive. But Gemini Wolf’s sophomore release, “Synchronized Eyes,” manages to be both. Listen closely, and there’s a dense swirl of music with plenty of layers to explore; slap it on the deck, and everyone’s sure to be moving.” -Shawn Brady Read Full Article Here

“Sugar” invokes so many things we love it’ll be hard to get them down right here, but we’ll try: The intro vocal hook seems like it’s the too-long-in-coming response to Donna Summer’s “Love To Love You, Baby,” but then alternates into a Debbie Harry coo straight from the Autoamerican era; the wild saxes and loping instrumental passages are straight out of the Arthur Russell playbook; and that...

“It’s the sirenlike vocals amidst Broken Social Scene-inspired synth melodies that first give you pause. Synchronized Eyes
Gemini Wolf’s second full length album was written mostly on old analog music machines over the winter of 2008/9. Mikronesia and Pandar fleshed out the songs with a string quartet, afro-pop horn sections, MIDI madness and thick tribal percussion. Release on earSnake (July 2009). 1. Sudseyfuss 2. Vibe On 3. About Gemini Wolf
Gemini Wolf is psychedeltronic. The band is centered around the creative nucleus of Pandar and Mikronesia. This life cycle has seen its fair share of incarnations over the years. Around the release of their second full length album, Synchronized Eyes, Gemini Wolf is sounding more like a krautrock aftrobeat shaman dancing in a sometimes crowded club in a post apocalyptic Berlin . Synchronized Eyes...
